Happy February!

I remember talking to H just before Chinese New Year’s about how January doesn’t really feel like the new year. Instead, we seem to find the motivation to make those new year's resolutions after the lunar new year — whether that’s a cultural thing or a spiritual-we-follow-the-moon thing, I will never really understand.

Also, speaking of goals, I am planning to run off to Europe in April and therefore as a way to help clear stock, I have a small studio sale for everything that is currently in my store

But otherwise, what am I up this February? I’m taking the time to clear up my desk at work, hanging out with people I love, saying my goodbyes, catching up with old friends, and just enjoying my last working month before I throw myself into the frenzy of packing up my entire life in March.

JUST THINGS I LOVE THIS MONTH

I cat sat for a friend over the holidays and my heart is so full just spending time with Peppercorn.
Cluedo! I haven’t played this boardgame in over a decade but I spent an evening with my high school best friends and it was so much fun — though bittersweet because that was probably the last time that all four of us will be together in Hong Kong.
My mother’s water chestnut cakes! She made a lot over the holidays in a continued attempt to make all of the traditional Cantonese dishes we love; just in case they’re not easily accessible in Europe (which is extremely probable).
