Peachtober (2021)

A month-long challenge in October 2021, in which I completed a short story/scene as well as an accompanying illustration for every day of the month. The hashtag #peachtober was created by Sha’an d’Anthes (aka furrylittlepeach), who modeled this challenge after Inktober. The challenge asks creators to make something according to the given prompts for 31 days straight in the month of October.

My take on the challenge had two components: Write a story according to the prompts, then illustrate it using watercolour, a white ink pen, and black Chinese calligraphy ink. I proceeded to upload these onto my Instagram. But because I’m using social media less and less, this is where I’m archiving the work.

After about Day 16 (Summit), my drawing hand started hurting.
