Aries

Dear Aries, your main cards for 2023 are Death, The Sun, and The World.

Oof, Aries, this is going to a very interesting year for you. With the Death card, we’re looking at the ending of very long cycle by Spring. This cycle must have been going on for over a decade, with all the crap you’ve had to deal with and this feeling of being emotionally drained and exhausted is overwhelming. It’s a couple more steps of tying up loose ends, of figuring out your true goals in life, and of truly understanding a previous revelation, and then you’ll be entering a new cycle headed by The World and The Sun.

The Sun is a suggestion of creating a new landscape for yourself that almost feels foolish to go through because honestly you never would have imagined yourself to be standing where you are now 5 years ago. From the Summer and onwards you’ll be living life with a renewed sense of childlike joy, imagination, and purpose. The best part is that everything somehow feels natural to you, and less so of a burden.

The World suggests that you’ll also be seeing the beginning of an imagined future for yourself. For once in a long time, you can see what true happiness will look like to you.

Of course, I’m not saying that this is the end-all year, but you’re finally forming an idea of what you want, and starting a completely new chapter of exploration and enjoyment.

Keywords for the year: Imagination, Happiness, Ending, Farewells, and Revelation

Love & Relationships: The Fool, Strength, and The Magician

With the Magician and the Fool, I see this year as one of creating a space of safety and comfort for yourself, whether that is defined as one where you are by yourself or with a partner. Similar to your overview cards, this year will give you the opportunity to mold and create what your idea of a relationship should be and not simply follow what the rulebook tells you. This will also be a moment of learning to let certain expectations go, and simply enjoying the view and journey.

No matter if you’re in a relationship or single, the Strength suggests a strong partnership, of someone who will be there for you to lean on, to support you as you go through the difficult and emotionally draining moments of this year. But you also have to remember to voice your needs and concerns — no one is a mind-reader.

In general it just feels like you’re able to regulate and release your emotions much better this year, whether you decide to go through this year by yourself or with someone else. But no matter what your choice is, know that no one else can sway your decision, and this is yours, and yours only, so look forward to that new chapter because this year will be very eye-opening for you.

Career & Work: The Sun, The Tree, The Bear, The Cross, The Moon, and The Tower

The Sun and the Tree present an overarching theme of stretching out your creative claws and actually having the space to grow in terms of your career. This year, the Sun is representative of actually being able to find and work on your passions and find a purpose in making things better from a distance. If you’ve had a childhood dream of saving the world, this might play into that kind of energy. However you do have a tendency to overwork yourself and burn out, and the Tree is a reminder to keep a balance.

However, with the rest of the cards, you will still be dealing with a lot of your anxieties and fears towards the end of the year; this will come in the form of learning to let go of traditional conventions and burdens, learning to see the humanity in people you find intimidating, and reviewing your own relationship with authority.
